Danbury Street Festival
Get ready to spend Saturday, June 4th, from 12noon to 6pm with us, as CityCenter Danbury will once again turn Main Street (between White St. and West St.) into a pedestrian-only festival. This FREE, family-friendly event, will have over 50 artists and vendors that line the roadway that day, highlighting the arts, music, crafters, and local small businesses. Macaroni Kid & Ventura Law is sponsoring a Family Fun Zone, with plenty of exciting activities for people of all ages!!

Juneteenth will be celebrated in the city of Danbury on Sunday, June 19th from 12-5PM at Western Connecticut State University (WCSU), Midtown Campus on 181 White Street and will lift up the theme that garnered the most votes by Danbury residents* — “Honoring our Heritage: Forging the Future”.
The Talking Artists Presents: Cheat Codes to the Culture
The Talking Artists is a series of curated conversations around culture, creativity and community.
Through these interactive sessions, artists will be equipped with the tools to create work at a professional level, enhance communication and community building skills, and overall, how to think deeper about their work in a holistic context.

Pulitzer Center Fighting Words Poetry Contest 2022
we’ve just launched our 2022 Fighting Words poetry contest. Students are invited to enter a poem that includes lines from one of our reporting projects and can win cash prizes up to $300, publication on the Pulitzer Center website, and performance opportunities. The deadline is Sunday, May 15, 2022.

Calling ALL Artists: Arts Across the Prairie is Seeking Submissions
Arts Across the Prairie is a first of its kind, statewide Creative Placemaking program, developed by North Dakota Council of the Arts (NDCA). This grew out of a presentation on art as a catalyst for community change at the fall 2019 Governor’s Main Street Initiative in Bismarck. North Dakotans expressed a concerted desire for greater cross-community collaboration and to enhance the vitality of the state through art.
Artist Treasure Hunt
SomethingProjects, is a statewide geo-tracking Artist Treasure Hunt called THE EXCHANGE, to take place throughout the state of CT August 15-November 1, 2022. This Open Call includes all artists living in CT (see attachment) and we anticipate the project will engage the public in fun and meaningful ways. The DEADLINE to submit is May 15, 2022.

Arts administration is the field that concerns the business operations of an arts organization, including but not limited to staff management, public relations, marketing, budget/fiscal management, board development, fund-raising, program development and evaluation.
