Do you need help paying for critical medical, mental health, or dental treatment? Have you had to suspend or reduce your creative practice because of a medical emergency?
Artists in financial need can request a one-time grant of up to $5,000 for recent or upcoming medical, dental, or mental health-related emergency expenses through New York Foundation for the Arts (NYFA) and Robert Rauschenberg Foundation’s Rauschenberg Medical Emergency Grants program. Live informational webinars are coming up Feb. 24 and 28; recordings will be available.
Artists who are creating in visual arts, film/video/electronic/digital arts, or choreography and living anywhere in the U.S., Tribal Nations, District of Columbia, and U.S. Territories may apply. The Rauschenberg Medical Emergency Grants has a new cycle every other month and is for artists in financial need who otherwise may delay critical treatment, or incur substantial debt. The current cycle is open through March 17 for emergencies occurring July 1, 2022 and later; Cycle 18 opens April 18, with a deadline of May 19, for emergencies occurring September 1, 2022 and later.
