New Milford Cultural Commission
Biographical Info The New Milford Commission on the Arts was established in 1977, by Ordinance to fund, advise on, originate, coordinate and encourage, within the Town, participation in, and promotion, development, acceptance and appreciation of, artistic and cultural activities, which shall include, but are not limited to, music, theater, dance, painting, sculpture, architecture, literature, films and allied arts and crafts, and to this end may join or contract with consultants, private patrons, individual artists and ensembles and with institutions, local sponsoring organizations and professional organizations. The Commission is a volunteer organization that maintains monthly meetings that are open to the general public. Agendas and Minutes of these meetings are held on file in the New Milford Town Clerk’s Office per the Freedom of Information Act requirements.. artsnewmilfordct.org
