Imagine What We Can Do Together This Giving Tuesday
Giving Tuesday comes once a year. For us, it’s a chance to keep creativity alive in ways that ripple through our communities, from the confidence of a teenager discovering their voice to the collaboration that sparks new ideas and economic growth.
Why this Giving Tuesday
This year, we set an ambitious goal to raise $50,000 to fuel programs and projects that make arts and culture visible and accessible. Our Business Supports the Arts Luncheon brought in $33,000, a strong start thanks to so many. And we still have a $15,000 gap to close. Giving Tuesday is a big step toward that goal.
Every dollar helps sustain the work that makes creativity part of everyday life in Western CT. Here’s what that looks like:
Creative Youth Development (CYD) is opening doors for Danbury’s youth.
This year, 509 young people in Danbury discovered confidence, resilience, and joy through the arts, because of programs we supported and made possible together. From African drumming to fused glass inspired by Impressionism, these experiences they changed lives. 94% of students completed their programs, and every single one reported feeling supported and inspired. That’s the power of arts and culture in our community. Imagine what more we can do next, together.
The Arts Hub: Building Infrastructure for Creativity
Imagine a place where artists, educators, entrepreneurs, and all sorts of people come together to share ideas, create, and innovate. That’s the vision for the Arts Hub, a regional center designed to make collaboration possible and creativity visible. This is about creating a space where partnerships form, projects grow, and the local economy benefits from creative energy. Take a look at what’s coming.
Stay close. Giving Tuesday is coming.
Your support on Giving Tuesday, December 2nd will help keep these projects moving and sustain our work that makes creativity part of everyday life in Western CT.
