Investing in Creative Leadership:

  • Creative entrepreneurs fuel innovation and cultural vitality
  • Their work builds inclusive economies and community pride
  • Local support helps turn bold ideas into lasting impact

Empower Starts Here

Empower is a statewide initiative led by the Connecticut Office of the Arts to support artists and creative entrepreneurs in building sustainable, community-rooted businesses. The Cultural Alliance of Western Connecticut is proud to collaborate, providing hands-on support, visibility, and connection for creatives in our region.

Backing Bold Ideas in Our Region

  • Guidance and mentorship tailored to each entrepreneur’s journey
  • Access to the EVOLVE curriculum led by Air Collaborative
  • Workshops on budgeting, prototyping, merchandising, and more
  • Opportunities to connect with peers, partners, and audiences
  • Visibility through storytelling and community engagement

Empower is about more than business, it’s about building a stronger, more vibrant arts community in Connecticut. We’re thrilled to be part of this journey and can’t wait to see the incredible impact these creative leaders will make!

Growing a Resilient Creative Ecosystem

Empower is part of a broader movement to build cultural infrastructure across Connecticut. By supporting creative entrepreneurs at the local level, we’re helping shape a region where the arts are central to economic growth, community connection, and social equity.
