Uncovering Truth: Disclosure from a Cloakroom
Some stories entertain. Others challenge us.
Disclosure from a Cloakroom does both.
This feature film is written and directed by Carol Dorn, a Danbury-based artist with global recognition. Her story doesn’t comfort, it reveals. The film explores how identity forms and power shifts in places meant to be safe.
It asks: what happens when silence ends?
From Stage to Screen
Carol first wrote this story as a play. It premiered in London and earned praise for its emotional depth and bold message. Now, she’s turning it into a film. She’s working with a skilled team and international partners.
Although the film will be made in London and Italy, its roots are local.
Local Mentorship, Global Reach
Carol lives in Danbury. Her creative path includes New York, London, and Connecticut. Still, she stays committed to mentoring young artists here.
Through this project, local creatives will join the production team. They’ll learn by doing, working with professionals in film, design, and storytelling. This opens real doors for artists who need access and experience.
As a result, the project supports both the film and our region’s creative future.
Why We’re Involved
The Cultural Alliance of Western Connecticut is proud to sponsor Disclosure from a Cloakroom. Supporting local artists is part of our mission. But this project goes further. It’s bold, honest, and deeply needed.
Carol’s vision is clear. Her storytelling is sharp and emotional. She also lifts others as she creates. That’s the kind of leadership we stand behind.
