Biographical Info Lounsbury House, a National Historic Site, was built in 1896 by CT's 53rd Governor, Phineas Lounsbury, and serves the community and surrounding area as an elegant private rental venue for weddings, corporate gatherings, birthdays, fundraisers and more. Lounsbury House is a town-owned 501c3 non-profit which also hosts events for the community throughout the year such as Memorial Day Picnic, Father's Day Party, Pride Party, Holiday Tree Festival, Teddy Bear Tea and more.
