The African American/Black and Puerto Rican/Latino Course provides all Connecticut’s high school students an exciting opportunity to understand the scope of African American, Black, Puerto Rican and Latino contributions to United States history, society, economy, and culture.
The CSDE is hosting a Webinar on March 24, 2021, at 4:00 p.m., to discuss the required elective course. This conversation will be tailored to support social studies curriculum leaders. Webinar participants will be introduced to the curricula and learn about upcoming supports.
This session will provide support on how to plan the implementation of the African American/Black and Puerto Rican/Latino Course in Connecticut high schools. Recommendations and guidance on communication, professional learning, and planning materials will be provided.
