Online ARTalk: What to Look for When You Look at Art

Artist, author and educator Gene Wisniewski will give a Zoom presentation for the Ridgefield Library on Sunday, December 10th at 4:00 PM that will cover basic art concepts such as composition, subject matter, medium, what school of art is represented and connoisseurship, as well as the history and context of works of art as evidenced in many different artworks over time.

Wisniewski received his art education at New York’s Academy of Art, The National Academy of Design, The New School and the L’Ecole Albert Vihiers in France. He has exhibited in galleries nationwide, including New York, LA and Chicago. He has 20 years of experience teaching and lecturing on visual art and is the author of The Art of Looking at Art (2020).
