My art builds upon my obsession with nostalgia, bright colors, connection, and culture. Much of my work documents my daily surroundings, environments, as well as the people. To experience these photos for me is to feel and hold the full flush of life in its flash and expression of a memory. Growing up in New York in a multicultural home and fast changing environments has pushed me into pockets of different communities where I?ve collected perspective and cultured my being. I?ve long found myself swimming between accepting and loving my reality, heavily reminiscing, and also working to change it. The photos I take mark the experiences in my growth.
