Call for Volunteers!

Do you have a passion for the arts? Would you like to help support arts and culture in the Greater Danbury area?  Come volunteer with us!

What: CAWCT needs help with collecting Audience Intercept Surveys for the Americans for the Arts’ Arts & Economic Prosperity Study (read more about the study here). These are anonymous, single page surveys that ask event attendees about their spending habits before, during and after the event, a few things about attendance, and some demographic details. Our goal is to gather between 20-30 surveys per event, with no more than 50.

When & Where: We’re collecting surveys at events throughout the year until April 2023. Typically, the time commitment will be 2-3 hours. Most of our events happen on the weekend or weekday evenings. Events take place at arts or cultural organizations within the towns of Bethel, Bridgewater, Brookfield, Danbury, New Fairfield, New Milford, Newtown, Redding, Ridgefield, and Sherman.

Upcoming dates so far include: 

 How: Two people will always be present at each event to set up a table (materials provided) with surveys and incentive candy (“take a survey, take a candy!”) and engage with attendees. This includes providing a basic summary of the survey purpose and encouraging visitors to take the surveys at the table/on clipboards. Completed surveys are then collected in a folder and given back to CAWCT at the conclusion of the event.  

Compensation is $25 per event for your time. In certain cases, volunteers may gain free entry to the associated performance (which is TBD per event and cannot be guaranteed). Volunteers can commit to one event or multiple—it’s completely open to an individual’s availability.
