Diaristic Record is a series of mixed media paintings that integrates written word with visual narrative. This personal and autobiographical body of work explores relatable emotions and experiences. Each mixed media acrylic painting blends visual elements and handwritten phrases or quotes I have gathered in various life situations. Personal iconography including hands and feet symbolize existential questions and emotional reflection, while boats and containers represent journey and possibility. By intertwining words and imagery, I capture the essence of the human experience. Each painting serves as a diary entry, documenting introspection and self-discovery and narrates personal identity’s complexities and the journey toward self-realization.
