The OT series (gouache) is a response to ‘The Denial of Death’ (1973) by Ernest Becker. The paintings are metaphors for its theme: That the things we make and do are distractions from the ever-present idea that we are going to die.
The GONE series (oil on wood) is based on old family photographs.
