We’re proud to announce two collaborations with local organizations, who in their own unique and invaluable ways, are committed to the well-being and good health of our community. Both Hancock Hall and Connecticut Institute for Communities (CIFC), are prepping for art exhibits to open this summer in July and August.
Hancock Hall, Danbury CT
Hancock Hall is a privately owned and operated skilled nursing and rehabilitation center in the heart of Danbury. A family-owned business that has for three generations remained dedicated to providing a uniquely caring and supportive environment for their patients and families. They have a stellar reputation for honoring the whole person, emotionally, physically, and socially.
Hancock Hall and the Cultural Alliance have enjoyed a longstanding partnership. We are excited to share a new visual art exhibition entitled The Energy Within Matter. This new collection features Diana Gubbay, accomplished artist and Bethel, CT resident. The exhibit will delve into the energy within vast spaces, and within all life. Opening festivities kick off July 7th at 5 pm with an artist reception.
Connecticut Institute for Communities
Connecticut Institute for Communities (CIFC) is partnering with CAWCT in honor of National Health Center Week, which recognizes the mission and accomplishments of America’s health centers, and raises awareness of the essential care, education, and housing they provide.
CIFC is an invaluable resource, supporting the healthcare needs of low-income children in greater Danbury, while also offering residency programs for graduate medical education. In addition, they manage the only low-income housing coop in Western Connecticut while supporting a comprehensive Head Start program for early learners.
The leadership and health center team at CIFC is as comprehensive as their work, which is evident in their commitment to inclusivity and empathy. They are proactive with their training around diversity and competency, as well as embracing anti-bias approaches to building relationships between parents and teachers so children of all backgrounds can thrive.
We’re excited to be launching this new partnership with CIFC as they seek ways to integrate art into their community which reflects not only people that they serve but also reflective of their inclusive work culture.
August 8th will launch an art exhibit and ribbon cutting of their new 8,000 square foot addition at 120 Main Street. Stay tuned for a Call to Artists for this exhibit and pay attention to this space as more details become available.
