Makery Coworking, owned by Tony Vengrove, has won numerous awards recently, including Best Space in the 2018 and 2019 Connecticut Entrepreneur Awards and Tony Vengrove took first honorable mention for Community Builder of the Year for 2019. According to its website, The CT Entrepreneur Awards identify, recognize, and celebrate Connecticut’s leading entrepreneurs, ventures, and ecosystem elements that support them. Makery Coworking also won the prestigious 2018 Business Supports the Arts Award bestowed by the Cultural Alliance of Western Connecticut.
Vengrove is a marketing and innovation expert and change agent with more than 25 years of experience. After working for several of the world’s largest global advertising agencies and Fortune 500 companies, he put roots down in New Milford to begin his own entrepreneurial career. In 2017, he founded Makery Coworking, Litchfield County’s first coworking space.

His most notable local work is for Litchfield Distillery, for which he designed the brand with the catchy phrase “The Spirit of Hard Work” after exclaiming those words at his initial meeting with founder brothers David, Jack and Peter Baker. They refer to Tony as the “fifth Beatle” in the success of their enterprise.
