Gallery 25 Artists

Gallery 25 | February 23, 2021

Gallery 25 and Creative Arts Studio opens a new show on March 6 called “Waiting for Spring”. Members have created glimpses of birds, spring flowers and rebirth, all in anticipation of warmer weather to come. The Gallery is also welcoming a new artist, Carol T Moore. Her pastels and pottery are breathtaking. Located at 11 Railroad Street in New Milford, the Gallery is sponsored by the New Milford Commission on the Arts. The new show will run from March 6 – March 21, 2021.

Roberta Ahuja’s large pottery bowl is full of blue birds, a welcoming sign of coming spring. Carolyn Cohen’s mixed media painting of “Roots” reminds us of nature’s awakening as the days grow longer. Adele Moros “Anticipation” Watercolor on Yupo has us yearning for those days of sunshine and flowers. Maryann Meken-Silvestri glass fused plate dances with flowers to make us smile. And there is new jewelry, photographs and more for customers to enjoy and purchase.

New Gallery 25 artist, Carol T. Moore is an established Litchfield County artist and is well-known for highly colorful, energy-charged paintings and unusual clay creations. Street scene and industrial sites are favorite subjects for Moore as she likes to work with the negative space and the hard-structural elements of these scenes. Painting on site in oil, pastel, acrylic and mixed media are also favorite ways for her to work. She has traveled to France, Italy, Canada and numerous states to paint the local scenes. Traveling is a way of painting new exciting places which add to her many collections and Carol paints her way through life creating memories of her many trips. Carol also creates one of a kind pottery pieces at her home studio many of which are now at the gallery.

Gallery 25 is looking forward to 2021 as we continue to embrace the arts and contribute to the New Milford community.
