The Artists Respond program is currently accepting applications from Connecticut artists and creatives who are interested in pursuing community-based arts projects that address social issues. Connecticut artists may apply for a grant of either $2,500 or $5,000 to support artist fees and other and project related expenses. Projects must occur in Connecticut and be artist-centered initiatives that use the arts to inspire, empower, educate, and transform Connecticut communities. General Operating Support for Theaters and Performing Groups – Currently accepting applications! 

The Connecticut Office of the Arts will provide up to $3M in general operating support grants to support Connecticut ‘s theaters and performing groups as they pursue their mission. General Operating Support grants are for 501(c)(3) non-profit, Connecticut arts organizations that provide arts activities, programs and performances for the public. 

Eligibility applies to organizations whose core mission, vision, focus, and legal purpose – as stated in their Articles of Incorporation and Bylaws – articulate a commitment to create, perform or present arts activities, programs and performances AND at least 51 percent of their annual fiscal expenditures is allocated specifically to support arts activities, programming, or performances.
