Introducing Our New ESCAPE ARTIST Magazine

Karyn Devlin is President and Owner of The Art Of Tourism LLC. She’s an Artist, Author/Illustrator, Army Veteran and Advisor with an MBA in Business and Marketing. Her art is representational and her style varies over time and across mediums. Karyn leans toward the impressionism style, and as her art evolves, she finds herself becoming more interested in tonalism and the depth of skill that is required to render a successful painting. Her art always depicts places she’s visited, or studies of places over time.

Escape Artist is a new bimonthly magazine for Creatives. Inside it covers all things ART-related: from tourism to art fairs & exhibitions, to what’s new in illustration and art supplies.

Since its inception in 1971, the Stanley L. Richter Association for the Arts has hosted some of the most interesting events of the Danbury area cultural scene. These include lawn arts festivals, lectures, ethnic performances, and both classical and popular musical presentations. Each autumn, area artists exhibit their works in Richter’s most prestigious event, the Annual Juried Art Show, to compete for large cash prizes. The Association’s mission is to promote cultural affairs “in the broadest possible definition to include the visual arts, music, drama, handicrafts, dance, poetry, creative writing and all other activities that enrich the lives of civilized people.”
