What is a (ED)WOSB Set-Aside Contract?

The Women-Owned Small Business (WOSB) set-aside was established to help level the playing field and create more opportunities for women entrepreneurs. Another women-owned set-aside is the Economically Disadvantaged Women-Owned Small Business (EDWOSB).

Businesses certified as EDWOSBs qualify for extra funding and may be selected in smaller set-aside solicitations. From the over $500 billion the government allocates for contracts every year, 5% is obligated for WOSBs and EDWOSBs.

A System for Award Management (SAM) registration is required to qualify for set-aside contracts. Start yours by clicking below.

For more details on this contracting program and to find out if government contracting is right for you, register for our workshop on February 9th, hosted by PTAC and SBA.
