The Great Hollow Virtual Juried Art Show 2020 (May 15 – June 30, 2020) raised over $1300 for the Great Hollow Nature Preserve.  Those funds came from the artists’ participation fees and the customers that bought paintings and photographs.  The Great Hollow Photographers Club who sponsored the art show, presented a check to Chad Seewagen, Executive Director of Great Hollow, on July 31, 2020.

Seewagen was very appreciative of the check during these difficult times.  Given the pandemic, many normal activities for the Nature Preserve have been limited or cancelled.  He thanked the Great Hollow Photographers Club for their efforts and their donation.

Many thanks to all the artists who participated and the local businesses that sponsored the show by donating prizes for the winning artists. “The artists were very supportive and the community was exceptionally generous with their donations” said Linda Hubbard,Chair of the Virtual Art Show.  “When we had to change from our normal physical Art Show at Great Hollow to a virtual show, everyone was skeptical as to how it would work.  But thanks to the powerful spirit of our artists and our local community, the virtual show was an amazing success.”

Many thanks also to the Great Hollow Photographers Club (GHPC) who have made this show possible.  It was a great team effort.  Special thanks to Linda Hubbard, Chair, and John O’Donnell, chief organizer of GHPC plus team members – Carolyn Cohen, John Foley, Jeff Ginsburg, Justin Goodhart, Jane Haslem, Kathy L’Hommedieu, Mary Jane Magoon, Masumi O’Donnell, Susan Rostenberg, and Neil Zobler.
