The inaugural Norwalk Film Festival will be held on Saturday, September 28, 2019, at six different venues throughout Norwalk, CT.

We are pleased to welcome you to a full day of diverse and inclusive entertainment, featuring inspirational screenings, insightful filmmaker Q&A’s, interactive workshops, and our celebrity “Standing Ovation Award” recipient – Norwalk native & 3-time Tony Award nominee: Robin De Jesús.

NFF will be the city’s first official Film Festival and is proudly endorsed by the City of Norwalk and The Connecticut Office of Film, Television & Digital Media. The Festival was founded by a grassroots community of volunteers, comprised of filmmakers, cultural leaders, and movie lovers living and working in Norwalk. The Festival’s mission, “Unity through Diversity through Film,” celebrates and highlights the unique multicultural spectrum of Norwalk residents and focuses on issues of representation and inclusivity. The goal of the NFF committee is to bring together local communities and stimulate ongoing dialogues generated by the power of cinema.

Over 80% of the films screening at Norwalk Film Festival will be celebrating their Connecticut Film Festival premieres. Screenings will be free admission and open to the public. NFF is committed to equal gender representation in all of our featured programming, and is proud to have reached a 50/50 gender parity through our selected filmmakers. NFF is proud to be a green Festival. In an effort to promote environmental sustainability, NFF will be limiting printed materials and providing digital news updates, including screening times & venues, sponsors, and special announcements online at norwalkfilmfestival.com
