Congratulations to the winners celebrating nature and art on the Great Hollow Virtual Juried Art Show May 15 – June 30, 2020. The winners were chosen from over 100 paintings and photographs featuring beautiful imagery of wildlife, plants, landscapes, and other aspects of nature found within Great Hollow or the immediately surrounding area.
This is a fundraiser organized by the Great Hollow Photographers Club for Great Hollow, with 25% of all sales going to support their education, science, and conservation initiatives. Please be sure to check it out, and consider supporting local artists and Great Hollow by purchasing one of these great works of art. Jurors for the artwork were: Jane Haslam, noted photographer and owner of the Land Gallery in Pawling, NY and Kathleen L’Hommedieu, well known painter and teacher. After much deliberation, they selected the following winners:
Paintings: First Place: Annie McAward for “Cottontail”, Second Place: Basha Maryanska for “Outdoor Tree”, Third Place: Janet Greco for “These are for You” plus Honorable Mention: Adele Moros for “September Song”
Photographs: First Place: Dennis Larkin for “Indigo Bunting”, Second Place: Justin P Goodhart for “Green on Green”, Third Place: Neil Zobler for “Waiting for Spring” plus Honorable Mention: Lu Li for “Splash Shield” and Judith Secco for “Jay Feathers”.
