Artists are frequently asked; “What inspires you?”

A poem that touched my heart, a quote that intrigued my mind, or an incident that affected me are all examples of the life that I am surrounded with. They are an inspiration to my artistic mind, and as simple as they may be, they create a deep curiosity that translates into beautiful colors to form an abstract composition on canvas. Every painting has a story that has a bit of me.  “Vicinity” is a brief journey into the incidents that stimulated the subjects of the paintings, and the moments in the different places I lived, celebrations of my origins and matters that influenced me deeply.  This exhibition is an invitation to enter the vicinity of my studio and my being.
