September 10 @ 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM$20
Gallery 25 is very excited to present an imaginative musical performance woven into a unique visual experience by John John Brown on September 10 at 7:00pm.
Award-winning songwriter John John Brown has set out to explore visual storytelling with his imaginative new project ‘Songs, Stories and Art’. With his guitar in hand, John John is supported onstage with iconic photographs, giant comic art, and a nineteenth century panorama. For the audience the experience feels like a melodic audiobook set to beautiful visual works; weaving an artistic dimension through a night of original storytelling, songs and art .John John just may have found a new way to sing a song. Above all , he stays rooted in the soil of a good story.
‘No Depression’ calls John John Brown ‘s debut album ‘THE ROAD’
“a supple and suggestive blend of astute Americana accompanied by a quiet, reflective glow”, while ‘AmericanaUK’ said his newest release is “ so well written that every song could be a short story”.
Out on the road, John was invited to perform at the 50th Anniversary of Woodstock at Bethel Woods, which is the original site of the legendary festival. Over the years, he has been chosen as a 2020 Kerrville New Folk Winner, an Emerging Artist at the Falcon Ridge Folk Festival, and a winner of the 2016 South Florida Folk Fest singer/ songwriter contest.
