Park(ing) Day DanburyCT

September 16 @ 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM

Free

Park(ing) day is a global, public, participatory project where people across the world temporarily repurpose curbside parking spaces and convert them into public parks and social spaces to advocate for safer, greener, and more equitable streets for people.

Join us September 16 in front of the “OLD” Library, 256 Main Street Danbury, Connecticut between 10 Am and Noon.

Cultural Commissioners will be on-hand to talking with passers by about the more than 1500 acres of open space and almost 2 dozen parks in the City and how preserving open space, like the Richter Lawn where Musicals at Richter performs and CityCenter Ives Street Green, is just one of the things which keeps Danbury a destination location, and builds economic growth.

The Cultural Commission is aided by the Parking Authority. Feel free to spread the word!
