Overview: Students will learn how to write from multiple points of view, while exploring many forms of storytelling—narrative, diary, poetry, describing a scene—generate inspiration on the blackboard, read an excerpt from a novel inspired by Vermeer’s iconic painting, Girl with a Pearl Earring, and write their own story behind a piece of art that they will have the opportunity to share aloud.
