Human Connection Opening Event

July 7 @ 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM

It is not only important for artists to connect in person, but also to allow art to bring everyone in the community together.

Human Connection

7 July 6-8:00 PM

The Cultural Alliance of Western CT and the Danbury Fair Mall partner once again to present Human Connection, a temporary art exhibit celebrating community, creativity, and social connectivity.

The show brings together creative minds from the local art community to showcase the importance of our collective experience these past few years. As lockdowns from Covid-19 started to become more lenient, we started venturing back out into the world and being able to reconnect with our communities. The importance of human connection became even more prevalent.

It is not only important for artists to be able to connect in person, but also to allow art to bring everyone in the community together including non-artists. The notion of human connection has been expanded; the importance of broadening access to needs and making sure that every person is connected in some way has grown within a lot of people.

Things like social, economic, and cultural divides are obvious in our current state which has given many people the urge to make connections across them. Humans are social beings and the creativity that arises from expanding communities can lead to more connectivity. While this art show is temporary, the collective experience of the community is permanent.

Meet with artists and join this visual conversation as the exhibition invites us to reconnect and perhaps rejuvenate imaginations.
