Botanical Dreams Shot in black & white, this series of plant imagery contrasts the vibrant colors that typically define plant life, encouraging a more intimate inspection of other elements that make flora striking. These photographs are representative of the time that they were shot: during a dark and quiet winter while the Covid pandemic raged around the world and many felt a sense of colorlessness. We are able to see that without color, the beauty of plant forms and their organic shapes, unique details and shadows become more apparent, and the viewer is invited to imagine the spectrum of lush colors that would be present if looking at real life counterparts.
