CT Office of the Arts Announces Partnership with Oddfellows Playhouse

Antonia Schachter | July 9, 2019

The Connecticut Office of the Arts is happy to announce a partnership with Oddfellows Playhouse in Middletown to serve Connecticut teaching artists.  Oddfellows will serve as a hub, providing opportunities for TAs to meet formally and informally for discussion groups, professional development, networking, and field development.

The first related event will convene on Thursday, July 18th from 4-6+++.   We will begin with an informational session about the partnership and COA’s ‘re-new-ed’ direction for teaching artists.  All teaching artists and those interested in knowing more about the professional field of teaching artists are welcome to attend.  So please come, and please bring a colleague new to or interested in the field with you.

Following the Open Session for Teaching Artists at Oddfellows on July 18 from 4 – 6 pm, all who are interested will then wander up the hill to Wesleyan University’s Foss Hill to enjoy a free performance of Diagonal Life Circus by Bread & Puppet Theater at 7 pm. Folks are encouraged to bring a blanket and their own items for a picnic on the hillside.

COA is thrilled to be focusing on Connecticut Teaching Artists in this way and we hope to see you there.

Please RSVP to:  info@oddfellows.org.  Please write July 18th in the subject line.  This will help us to know how many to prepare for.
